Managing an analytical project where our team optimises the client’s procurement of electricity from various sources including different renewable-based PPAs, the NordPool day-ahead market as well as the electricity reserve markets.

A study to a global technology company about their long-term electricity storage. The showcase was done for the electricity system of Cyprus including analyses of both new energy technologies as well as conventional technologies.

Responsible for the opex-analysis.

Responsible for the comparison of hydropower and batteries in terms of technical suitability, lifecycle emissions and costs as well as evaluating the role of hydropower in the Finnish electricity reserve markets.

A techno-economic outlook on the current state of the advanced energy technologies as well as their state in the Nordic energy markets, considering technical development, policies and future prospects. My responsibilities included the outlook of the energy storage technologies such as lithium-ion, flow and NaS batteries as well as P2G, CAES and phase-change heat storage. I also reviewed the current state of wind and solar power in the Nordics.

Our team analysed the effects of different fuel consumption scenarios in Finland up to 2030, regarding policies such as the ban of coal. The analysed effects included the national GHG-emissions, employment effects and the fulfilment of the national and EU climate policy targets.
